Monitoring teat-end-scores is a simple tool to help keep your cows healthy and reduce incidence of costly mastitis. A systematic survey of teat ends should be performed regularly to ensure that your cows are being appropriately milked out without overmilking.

We also have a Google Chrome WebApp that you can use for free to keep records of your teat scores. It is low latency, free to use, and an easy way to keep a detailed spreadsheet record of your teat end scores. You can use it with a iPhone, an Android phone, or with a tablet. It will give you a running percentage of your grades, and you can save your records to a spreadsheet by clicking the “Save Records”.
* Note if you are signed in with multiple Google accounts on your device, you will need to use an Incognito tab, as this application can currently only run on devices with a single Google account. *
This application is still in development and has not been verified by Google, so you may have to allow advanced permissions to use it.
